Some of the key features of WorkForce Software for the Public Sector include:
- Employees may hold multiple job positions with each position having different rules. Unlike other vendors, WorkForce Software does not employ workarounds that are based on job codes. WorkForce Software for the Public Sector has "native" support for the concept of employees with multiple job positions. The entire time collection, review, and approval process is based on this model.
- WorkForce Software for the Public Sector can distinguish between employees who hold dual positions and those who are working a voluntary position in a different capacity from the primary employment (on an occasional or sporadic basis). Reports for the HR department are available to ensure compliance in these situations.
- Special pre-programmed templates for overtime requirements for fire and police departments with work weeks longer than 7 days.
- Support for compensatory time tracking offered in lieu of overtime. Compensatory time could be programmed to be selected automatically or based on user input.
