City of Scottsdale, Arizona Selects WorkForce
for City Wide Employee Time Tracking
LIVONIA, Mich., March 22, 2005 - The City of
Scottsdale, AZ, today selected WorkForce Software to provide employee
time tracking for all 2,600 city employees. The WorkForce Software
Solution for the Public Sector will replace a system initially
supplied by Fastech in 2000. The Fastech system was only being
supported for a limited time period by Kronos after their purchase
of Fastech in 2003. Thus the City of Scottsdale was forced to consider
alternatives in order to accurately track their employee’s
time on a fully supported solution.
WorkForce Software was selected unanimously over other products
following an extensive review by the City of Scottsdale’s
evaluation team because of the product's flexibility to support
the city’s existing and ever changing policies. The WorkForce
Solution for the Public sector will be implemented as a full-suite
web-based application for time and attendance, scheduling, accrual
management, FMLA Tracking, employee self service and data collection.
A key differentiator of the WorkForce system according to the
City of Scottsdale was WorkForce’s multiple assignments module.
It is very common within a public sector for an employee to hold
more than one position concurrently with each position having unique
pay rates, pay rules, time collection method, and approval supervisor.
The ability to streamline the data and process payroll on an individual
holding more than one position without any workarounds was not
available from any other time and attendance vendor in the market.
